Now we are moving up the chain of possibilities. Looking for the sneakiness, or the capture of ‘not completing all of the clues’ in the whole of the Chapter.
All of these areas, are in the same bigger Area. They all have various zones that align with final BOTG clues, or at least my interpretation of them.
This area was up the road from Day 1 + 2. Technically could have hiked a trail to get there, the canyon drive was quicker.
Due to recent storms, the road was closed for my direct path. So I decided to head to the closest town, and grab coffee and bagel sandwich. Let the dogs run around a park, while seeing if any other local spots might reveal my ever elusive ‘under, over, and in between’
Then back in the truck for the detour to my area.
Along the way, I noticed local things that started to align with the various parts of the Chapter. They kept showing up, I knew it was confirmation bias, and let it creep through my brain anyways.
I pulled over at trail, that had the loosest of connections, leashed up the dogs, and set out. The trail was nestled into an area with a few homes. A horse’s field shimmered with the mornings dew still carpeting it. A few creeks and very small foot bridges. but nothing fit.
I ignored signs and pressed on into dense overgrowth of the trail. Not too far off trail, but through enough brush that it would discourage most hikers.
